Lab Practicum

What started off as a completely different project, slowly morphed into a tribute to the video game Half-Life 2. I had a lot of fun taking different elements and combining them into one cohesive animation, that I think tells a little mysterious and yet peacefully somber story. The title is in reference to the song that plays; and I see the animation as a sort of moving painting/music video. There were over 35 separate elements that came together to create the final composition: waves, clouds, fog, mountains. I learned some new tricks to speed up my workflow, and some lessons about how to channel my creative energy along the way. Overall, I’m satisfied with my little project, and excited to see where I go next.
